    The Heart of A Tree
    Henry Cuyler Bunner

What does he plant who plants a tree?
He plants cool shade and tender rain
the seed and bud of days to be
in years that fade and flush again.

He plants to glory of the plain
    he plants to forest heritage
the harvest of the coming idea
the joy that unborn eyes shall see
    these things he plants
    who plants a tree.

What does he plant who plants a tree?
He plants in sap and leaf and wood
in love of home and loyalty
and far cast thought of civic good

    God’s blessing on the neighborhood
who in the hollow of His hand
holds all the growth of all our land
a nation’s growth from sea to sea
stirs in his heart who plants a tree.”

one for fun, it was one of my thinking of you cards...

    Feeling sad, feeling blue?
Now cheer up, I thought of you.
The mail has brought my special letter
I hope that now you feel much better.
Winter Days can make us frown,
But Spring is on its way to town!
Soon the sun will shine on us,
But if It rains try not to fuss!
When some flowers bloom in may,
You know that Summer is on its way.

    Another one by Yeats:
    Cloths of Heaven
Had I the heavens' embroidered clothsEnwrought with golden and silver light,The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half light,I would spread the cloths under your feet:But I, being poor, have only my dreams;I have spread my dreams under your feet;Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
