I just talked to a brother who is in construction at Wal-kill and came home for two weeks to visit his family, he said he is going back Sunday, and he has not heard anything about stopping construction. He said there is still a lot of work to be done.

Here's the thing you raid all the money from the kingdom halls, so what's now your motivation to build or renovate when buildings like these are hard to sell and not much prophet. So you take the raided money and invest it in other places. Then do nothing for the religious side of your business hoping members will still donate and get nothing in return except the promise of paradise.
You continue to do this until the rank and file members give up and disappear. They know it's coming religion is dieing so their just going to squeeze the turnip as long as it will produce

I will confirm with a friend that's in Warwick. The irony is that this weekend magazine talks about the importance of building KH. I really think they went over budget on the Warwick project, they used a lot outside contractors. -

Let's review: It's a cult!Exactly. I don't know anyone who actually has a need right now getting a hall. As I say, the LDC is responsible for maintenance as well as builds so a simply bit of work at a hall is a project. You can make some big numbers if you include a bit of painting...

Just state a need for more KHs, solicit funds from the R&F to ostensibly pay for the property and construction, use part of the funds to just buy the property, pocket the funds that would have been used for construction, then - after a short wait, say, a year or so - flip the property for a profit, and pocket those funds, too.
Pretty damn slick.

I bet if someone got the bright idea to count the number of residence rooms at Warwick, and compare them to the number of current residence rooms at the locations that they're getting rid of, they'd probably immediately see that they were planning all along to kick a bunch of bethelites to the curb.
