One of the sins that a Jehovah's Witness can get disfellowshipped for is GAMBLING. Those that occasionally gamble, even for pennies, are considered "greedy ones". Of course, playing the stock market or futures is not considered gambling These are "investments".Personally, I enjoy a little gambling. What about you?

I love to play the slot machines on the riverboats we have here in Louisiana. They are gorgeous boats, and always something hopping going on down by the river front.

I also like to play video poker, there are lots of those in the little truck stops our way.

I really , really like video poker. It is addictive and I stay away from them , but once in awhile I will allow myself a certain amount to play.

I bought my first lottery ticket a month ago. I didn't win anything (and I never will), but it was still fun. I'd like to do it again, so probably my next visit to a 7-11 I'll buy another one.

I don't have much interest in Las Vegas though. It seems too loud and busy.

Yes, I do like to Gamble. When I go to Las Vegas I always gamble a little. And I always win alittle.

Nope...huge wuss...I can't do it...the extent of my gambling career is a nickle in a nickle slot, and one scratch off when I turned 18...

I can't even watch other people gamble without getting woozy...told you I was a wuss!

what an interesting topic, for me particularly.

i love playing poker with my family. its always a friendly game with low stakes and a lot of comraderie.

i used to play at the casinos here in missouri a bit, but stopped because being a single girl with a mortgage means i pay a bit more attention to my finances than i used to ;)

what makes this topic particularly interesting for me is that i work at a casino. i am a supervisor of table games, or what most people would call a pit boss. boy, was that a fun conversation with my jw dad ;)

I keep it to a limit. I've won a number of times and I'm still using their money and still keeping it to a limit. I love to gamble making the impossible golf shots, I pay the price if the golf shot is not executed properly. I love participating and the challenge.
