Great job. Maybe we should call you Master dubstepped. Master at getting the word out on how bad this cult is. Thank you for your hard work. Thank you for helping my son and his fanmily. Still Totally ADD

@Queequeg - Jenny was happy in her role. We all have different talents to be used in different situations. She helped in securing this opportunity and some development by giving me feedback. I'm the one that goes deeper in this realm and I'm sure she'd be better suited than I for other opportunities in life. Rest assured that we both worked toward our strengths in this and though you see the end result there was more going on behind the scenes than you could know. :)

Thanks for the love in the responses. I was super nervous but very excited about the opportunity, and I have another at another university as part of a conference in the Fall. I'm keeping that under wraps until we get closer.

@stilltotallyadd - Please don't call me Master, lol. I do joke about starting my own cult, but it's only a joke. Your son is a good guy and I'm happy to know him. :)

Great, how did you get on the agenda to do this?

My wife and I clean the house of the professor and have for over a decade. They've always been nice to us but after learning our story when we exited the cult we've become closer. We go to their house for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years. So she knew that we had something of value to contribute. A lot of people in the ex-JW community make fun of the window cleaners and janitors like they're all dopes but that's not necessarily the case. ;) I'm glad that the professor of this class could see it.

I also interviewed a lady for my podcast that puts on a certain conference in the Fall that will likely be at an Ivy League school this year (though even if it isn't the opportunity is still very cool) and I will get to be a speaker there as well. More details on that as it comes to fruition.

Thanks for sharing that dubstepped. I wonder if others could find ways to participate in similar classes? Some ex-jws visit churches to talk about jws but that brings a negative association from jws, apostasy immediately rings in the air.

I'm going to check with the university in my area and see what they offer and if I would qualify based on my Comments? It will be my coming out party if I can.

I'm definitely going to try to do more. So far I just keep putting myself out there in different ways and the opportunities come my way. Put your story out, make yourself available, and see what happens.

Thanks for sharing that dubstepped. Was interesting to hear the questions from the students. You both handled yourselves very well. The discussion & explanation was easy to follow and thorough. Now that I’m out many years, it really sounds absurd to listen to someone explain our teachings and doctrines in detail like you did. I sit here and wonder what in blazes were we thinking and how nonsensical so much of our theology and expectations are.

Thanks to you both and keep up the good work.

    Hey dubstepped, I get it!

You both did a great job. My critique was minor and probably unnecessary!
