Congrats. It takes a lot to disengage from the nonsense. Look forward to hearing from you here on this forum. 👏
Welcome Deke. Sounds like we're a similar vintage. Look forward to you posting your story... so glad to hear you were able to get out with your family in tact.
Welcome. As the Who sang, 'freedom tastes of reality'.
Hello Deke and welcome to the forum.
We are all at various stages of our own personal journey escaping the Org - some further down the line than others.
You will find this to be a very helpful forum with a wealth of advice and guidance, so I encourage you to read up on the discussion topics that are of interest to you.
Looking forward to your posts.
Welcome Deke to a new world of enlightment. How all here at 0ne time was held captive to a concept. Like you all of us woke up at diffrent times in our lives. For my wife and I we were in our mid 50's. So enjoy your new freedom. Looking forward to your story. Still Totally ADD
DEKE:
Welcome to the forum!
I ‘faded’ from the Witness religion in 2001. I was not born-in but joined as a young working adult. It was not easy being a single working woman in this religion and I was definitely on the fringes and not invited much.
After their 1995 teaching on Generation, I knew it was over and planned my ‘fade’. I retired a few years ago and am thankful I held onto the job these fools criticized me for having! I know about the changes in the religion and I certainly would never tolerate these hypocrites asking for money.
Good luck on your journey!
Thanks for posting! Gives me some hope for family still in....
Deke.. congrats. Your story gives me hope. My mom is still a JW after....yep....
48 years. .... 1970 must have been a banner year for baptisms. She was baptised in Alaska.
