I have some feeling about the AM2015 leak and the recent building stop story going arround.
It wouldn't surprise me that the information is a calculated leak.
- jw's are informal informed about the changes and adopt them informal.
- the building stop influences the concience of jw's for donating more money.
At the other hand, maybe there has occured a financial disaster for example they invested bilions in Volkswagen.

Ten bucks says the opposite happens... the R&F will be relieved that the pressure to expand will be off, and us that as an excuse to donate even less.

I cannot remember where it was, but sometime ago I remember reading about the Borg coming under investigation by the Charity Commission. Coupled that with a few months ago, I read something about the government not punishing religious organizations that condone same sex marriages. Very interesting.

I doubt it, they are already spinning the story for themselves, saying things like "as we get closer to the End we should expect things like this".
JW's are used to ignoring what Cognitive Dissonance does to their minds by making sense of things the JW way.
Which means they create more nonsense for themselves to believe.
If the WBTS lost its charitable status globally that would definitely be its death knell. Now if only the authorities could be made to see that they have nothing to do with charity.
Not if the society pre-empted it. What if the WTS can see the writing on the wall and has calculated it's better paying taxes, staying under the radar but doing a massive downscale?
