What has happened to the issue of child abuse? Last year, this board was regularly filled with abuse issues. Now it seems that this subject is discussed much less.....Why?

My own personal reason is ,this issue effects me in a negitive way.It makes me feel helpless and angry and sad.
Sometimes I just need a break from it and subjects can only be discussed so much.Can't keep repeating your self over and over.
I don't think anyone here has forgotton.

Typical human behavior. We have moved on to other topics. You see this in the media all the time. People get tired of the same topic all the time. For instance, I am so "Holocausted Out" I hope I never see one more foot of film about that tragic and evil interval in human history. I think that's called compassion overload.

When some big event is uncovered with the dubs...it's always talked about at first. This has been going on for awhile now and is still being pursued even thoght the talk about it has slowed.

How have this Tv program been taken by peoepl where this have been sent, here in Sweden we have in April, sweden is a smal country and Tv programs have almost bigg efffeck on peopel.
When iI talk widh my fellow JW friends, some dont belive this happend, and from our hedqurter they have send a letter that this is lies from Apostates, i have tols my friends to read the WT now 95, it is inaf I think, and ask if they casn agree to the polyci.
But as I ask, have you seen some reaktion in your countries on this, I ask JW here on the bord aspecilay, intresting to see the answers.

2. It's an icky and awkward subject for non-victims to discuss
3. We're in the lapland between the initial publicity of the programs and the upcoming trials
4. Lawsuits are a long and arduous process often taking years to complete

WE HAVE HEARD ALL THE ABUSE STORIES , AND HAVE FELT FOR THE VICTIMS. NOW I WANT TO SEE ALL THE COURT CASES. AND THE WT PAY OUT MILLIONS. AND CHANGE OR BUNKRUPT. I WANT TO SEE ACTION . I'M WAITING WITH GLEE TO SEE THE WT POUNCED IN COURT. I HOPE IT IS COMING..JOHN

This website has a new look to it and has quite of bit of the info that was discussed here and the videos, streaming media, etc., organized now.
There are upcoming things. It is good to keep the topic fresh for any new ones who come here since things have a way of disappearing quickly.
Could anyone summarize that upcoming cases. One is Vicki Boer's and several that the Kim Norris' law firm in Texas is coordinating. There is a pending case in Minnesota and 4 in Nevada, one in Oregon, that I can think of offhand.

It's always been a difficult thing to talk about abuse, whether it's from the victims or those that have not been abused. Both parties talked about it alot. Just because there's upcoming court cases, is not a reason to not talk about it. I think just the opposite.

Min while I think all those who are interested in the topic retain their interest sometimes we all just need to give it a rest. I know I do. I was here posting about it regularly. I work with abuse during the day. I needed a time out. And an opportunity to discover some other things in my life.
I have found over the years that like many issues this takes on an ebb and flow. When certain issues get triggered I will take up the banner again and be actively working on my own recovery - another layer of it.
Right now I am dealing with a difficult issue at work which is not resolved yet. I have had a difficult past 3 months. Coming here and talking about more abuse only pulls me further down.
The issue isn't dead. Just taking a break
