Isn't Canada Great, even close to a Spiritual Paradise?

  A moment ago I clicked onto the link at https://bigglobaltravel.com/cities/funny-pictures-canada-yh/?utm_campaign=Canada%20Pictures%20Shira1606%20DUP0109%20MSN%20EDG%20En%20-%20Desktop%20USA%20YA&utm_source=Yahoo&utm_medium=MSN_US&utm_content=msn.com&psl=g_61cd4e&network_code=CM which shows slides of Canada. Viewing those slides (in combination with the other things I have seen and heard about Canada) made me feel that maybe Canada is about as close as one can get in the western world to a nation which is now a spiritual paradise, much like a new peaceful order now. I started getting chocked up viewing a number of the slides. I'm thinking maybe I would be happier if I lived in Canada. I have taken at least two trips to Canada and I enjoyed each of those trips.

  When the USA declared independence from Great Britain and started a war with them, the USA invited Canada to join with them in the war against Great Britain. Canada said no and eventually Canada obtained their independence anyway - by peaceful means. That greatly impresses me. Imagine if the USA had used the same process. Imagine the lives that would have been saved. Imagine that the USA would never have had a civil war. Keep in mind also that Britain abolished slavery in all of their lands about 30 years before the USA civil war began.

  Yeah, Britain fought anyone who fought for independence, but granted it to anyone who asked. Weird eh?

  Canada is a naturally beautiful place, but to a lesser degree than the US, has been ruined in recent years due to a socialist takeover and breakdown in the social contract and law and order.

  Corruption at the top always washes down and taints everything else.

  I am not aware that Canada has been ruined, experienced a socialist takeover, nor had a breakdown in the social contract and law and order. However, I have neither heard nor read much news about Canada.

  I hate those ad spam sites. Canada is nice, if you can afford the taxes and private healthcare. Public care and crime rate kind of sucks though compared to its southern neighbor.

  And... Canada is part of the British Commonwealth (technically the Queen is still the ultimate ruler there) so they’ve been in plenty of wars by proxy, back during the US Revolutionary War they were also part French and the French did participate (because they hated the brits) although the Quebecians didn’t want to be part of the Americas, so today you still get Quebec with some revolutionary tendencies (they have a functional sovereignty movement) as a little check on government overreach.

  Years ago living on Grosse Ile Mi. We would go to Amherstburg Canada quite often.

  Best perch ever and our money was worth a lot.

  You had to order food on Sunday if you drank alcohol .

  One person would just go make a phone call to report how many people were on the boat. Great times.

  Boy times have changed. We don't even get close to Canada on the boat anymore.

  Windsor had totally nude strippers (Crazy ) and everyone went across the river for Bachelor or bachelorette parties.

  I have been to Toronto many times and loved it. Young street was the cool place to go .

  So glad I got to see a lot of Canada, since things are so differant now. You must have a passport or an enhanced licience. . O Canada !

  I love Canada. Toronto is a fave haunt of mine when I visit there.

  I prefer Canada to the bloody UK anyday.

  Yes, thanks to Trudeau Canada now has a trillion dollar debt. But unlike the USA, there doesn't seem to be a need to contest voting practices here except when it comes to referendums to break up the country.
