    sf,

WOW! It's pretty amazing. It's what a lot of us have suspected, but I can't help but think this "food" is tainted. At least in the way it's being used now. I was bothered by the fact that the website conveniently seems to be set up to go only as far back as that particular letter, even though it covers a lot of ground since then.

I agree with Dubla that calling it "Secret" was stupid. It bothered me right away. Reminded me of how the NY Post and Fox News have been using all kinds of propaganda word-triggers like that in support of the war.

But my son has been trying to convince me of this stuff for over a year now. It's exactly what Howard Zinn and Noam Chomsky have been predicting for a few years now, too.

I found a few other sources that show portions of this website with this same agenda have been up since July 2002.

The PNAC goes along with my last post on Israel. The PNAC has been discussed for the past year+ on other boards.

Anyway, there was a Nightline special on the PNAC a couple of weeks ago:

And in a report just before the 2000 election that would bring Bush to power, the group predicted that the shift would come about slowly, unless there were "some catastrophic and catalyzing event, like a new Pearl Harbor."

That event came on Sept. 11, 2001. By that time, Cheney was vice president, Rumsfeld was secretary of defense, and Wolfowitz his deputy at the Pentagon.

    They got their "Pearl Harbor."

Here's details on the show http://abcnews.go.com/sections/nightline/DailyNews/pnac_030310.html

    Transcript is here http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/ThePlan.htm

I'm 100% sure, after this was and its aftermath is finished, the 'Iraqi people' will be receiving less than half the profit from their own oil wells. I'm sure the amount they see will be more like 10-25% TOPS,

just curious......what percentage of the iraqi oil profits do you think is going to the "iraqi people" now?

I was mentioning in a earlier post about the PBS show Frontline. They talked about the push from the Washington Hawks for the Americans to dominate the world and make sure no rival "super power" comes along. I mentioned that the "Hawks" want control of the Oil reserves in the Middle East as they were part of the strategic plan for world domination. This was not a top priority of the Bush administration until 9/11. What luck as the "Hawks" had their reason now to push their agenda of world domination.

Lobbying starts for a tilt at contracts
Work could prove very lucrative for U.S. businesses

Even before the sound of gunfire dies down in Iraq, a new noise is likely to erupt in the desert — the buzz of commerce

WITH THEIR OWN economy sputtering, U.S. companies are already angling — albeit quietly — for business opportunities in post-Saddam Hussein Iraq.
In a matter of days the Bush administration is expected to award a series of contracts that could total $900 million for rehabilitation of roads and other infrastructure and to administer Iraq’s ports and airports. Five large U.S. engineering and construction companies, including Bechtel and Halliburton, were asked to bid for the assignment last month.

While they may be excited, they are trying to curb their enthusiasm — publicly at least — to avoid charges of profiteering. This is particularly so given the widespread suspicion that Mr Bush is conducting the war to help his friends in Big Oil.
The Center for Responsive Politics said the five construction companies on the shortlist for the initial rebuilding contract donated $2.8 million during the last two election cycles.

Hmmnn ... Halliburton ... why does that ring a bell ...

After the Kuwait thing in the early 90's I was offered engineering work that would have paid about 5 years wages in the first year. It was all for the rebuilding effort, but I chose to not live in that region. I would have gotten shot, eventually.

I thought I read in some threads how stupid Bush was.... how the hell could he come up with such a plan, and keep it a secret, if he is a "moron"?

The profits now and after the war will end up in the sinkhole called the "UN."
