A little more "on the ground" info about Hong Kong:
All the English meetings for the week are held in a single sitting (4+ hours), so if you miss one, you miss them all. Plus, the meetings are even less intellectually stimulating than native English speaking countries.
200+ attendees, 90%+ are single Filipina (domestic live-in) helpers. WT is in Simplified English; sisters run the mics. What's absolutely insane is that these helpers only have 1 day off a week-- Sunday. How do these poor women have to spend 4+ hours of it? Sitting in some dingy KH on the 20th floor of a faceless building in HK. Oh, and more if you decide to go in the ministry after.
One would think you'd see carts set up all over the place - ferry terminals from Mainland, Macau, New Territories, MTR stations, the pedestrians bridges that criss-cross Central.
All those places are always swarming with vendors, Falun Gong, anti-Falun Gong, animal rights, Greenpeace, any cause you can think of.
How many carts has Anon seen? One, at lunchtime; and it was there for less than 2 hours.
