Seems a bit short sighted and nonsensical, some crimes need professionally trained individuals to carry out the fulfillment of law and justice in a fair and equal manner.
What about serious crimes such as murder, rape, pedophilia, the list goes on, is Minneapolis going to hire outside the city or county ?

There are some good things I can think about having no police. You can drive as fast as you want , go through red lights, drink and drive, take drugs and drive . 👍👍

I remember NYC in the 70s and 80s. It was a cesspool with a lot of bad cops. Them Mayor Giuliani cleaned house and Disney replaced porn shops and hookers and panhandlers. I fear that the old days will be upon us sooner than we ever imagined.

I live about 3 hours north of Minneapolis. The house next door is for sale. Today as I was going back to work a stranger gave me a wave and walked over to my truck. He was killing some time waiting for the realtor to show the house and he asked me a few questions about the neighborhood. As we chatted I asked him where he was from. "North Minneapolis," he said.
