    G'day all,

I guess you're rather preoccupied with other things this weekend but let's spend a moment or two in thinking about our yesterdays. Yes, it's time for our weekend poll. It's number 42 this weekend. Quite middle-aged, eh?

So, this poll prompts us to think back on those tender moments each month when you filled out your Field Service Report.

So, this weekend's poll question is:

Which figures on your report meant the most to you?

    1. Books (Sales award?)

    2. Brochures (so-so)

    3. Hours (crucial?)

    4. Subscriptions (Clouded in mystery, too much trouble?)

    5. Magazines (had to have double figures?)

    6. Return visits (how "spiritual" were you?)

    7. Studies (was this the creme de la creme?)

    8. No, there is no "Other"!!!!!

Looking forward to your replies, posters.

    Enjoy.

    Cheers, Ozzie

#3 man.... I was a regular pioneer. If I didnt get my hours in I would write them down anyhow and promise myself that I would make them up later. Never did get around to that.......

    Ozmeister,

You have made one too easy. # 3 I think will be the top pic for most.

There may be a handful of the men who would pick literature over hours.........if being low on magazine placements was hindering an appointment they are trying to get

Man, I get an anxiety attack just thinking bout it.

    Hours.....

But if somehow you managed a bible study that attended meetings...or even got baptized (wow)...you were truly blessed.

I hated service and meetings, yet I managed quite a few bible studies and am proud (or should I be) to say that I have brought to the truth 2 souls.

    Go figure....

#3 and #7. I remember how hard we were pushed to get studies, many reg and auxiliary pioneers would boast of their 10, 15, or 20 bible studies each. I never saw one of those studies come to a meeting though.

"6. Return visits (how "spiritual" were you?)" LOL this hits it on the head for me. I was told when I first applied for pioneering that I didn't have enough R.V.'s. Who cared how many studies I had or how many hours, etc all they wanted to see was my spiritual standard!!!

you had to have a certain amount of hours if you wanted "priviledges" like microphone duty, the literature counter, sound, etc.

Hours, period. It's hours by which one is mainly judged as to how they qualify for positions in the congregation. Most jws obssess about hours much more so than any other part of their reports.
