... until they have fulfilled their role in the Org's Master Plan to sit down with the Bodies of Elders in the Circuits and ascertain which congregations should be merged or consolidated.

This "culling" of K.H.'s will now have to be accelerated - considering the panic to rake in cash.

After the C.O.'s have signed the death warrants for the appropriate Kingdom Halls, then they & their wives can start looking for employment & accommodation (and transport) for themselves. They've got about one year left, IMO.

They know! I really think there is a chance the boys at the top know. They have been looking over their information in the Watchtower library and the UN library (lol)not to mention the projections re lawsuits for abuse and the gay marriage laws that will finish them eventually (loose their tax exempt status for both reasons)- and someone with clout has finally persuaded them that it was all a delusion (for Russell & Franze)and a pyramid scheme/book sales turned property development business (Rutherford). That its time to switch off the lights and go home. They dont want a riot or any law suits so they are doing it gently.👏👬 👭

    If only.....😒

    Less congregations = less COs

One weekday meeting with CO = One CO can do two congregations in one week

    Potential CO reduction >50%

It's a hierarchy, they need someone to enforce the rules, I can't see them getting rid of circuit overseers right now. They especially need to keep an eye on the money and make sure the congregations are not holding back on donations. I think its possible they will cut down on how many they have though. Since the main point will be to protect the income stream they won't spend as much time with the congregations, just meet with the elders and make sure they are not withholding funds. It will become more of a bill collector/enforcer function, pay up or sleep with the fishes.

LisaRose, I think they can still maintain the control but only have the COs visit the congregations once a year - effectively cutting the number of COs in half.

I think they are going about this all wrong.

Appoint only CO's who are 65 (65 is the new 55). With Medicare kicking in and Social Security (USA) and pensions are available.. No need for expensive Society purchased health care or payment. Ease the schedule by having representatives of the body of Elders visit the CO at least once a year for a one day meeting. Get all the financial and nasty stuff settled on that one day or two if needed. Only visit congregations for special events or to settle disputes. Or interview for appointments or removals if needed.

You keep the discipline, collect the money and basically the Society just reimburses out of pocket expenses.

Who needs COs when you can have a visit from a big giant head from JW broadcasting to appear on the KH screen for free.
