None. Nationalism creates an "us" and "them" and seeks to legitimize state violence towards vulnerable members of a given society. It consistently and undoubtedly leads to violence. This ideology is especially dangerous because they present themselves as natives valiantly defending the "Homeland," and that danger is compounded with attempts to tie "National Identity" to race. It would be entertaining to hear to racist present an argument in favor of it LOL

I think you are not making enough of a distinction between the 'patriotism' level of nationalism, being proud of your county and civilization and wanting independence and self-governance so that it can continue, and 'extreme' nationalism, thinking that your country and anyone of the same race is automatically better than everyone else often because of color or birth.
There's also the strange reverse nationalism - where we're meant to believe that every other country and society is equal to or better than our own which is, IMO, currently more of a threat to more people's life and liberty than nationalism is and is going to cause nationalism to increase if the 'steam' building up due to it is not properly released.

Nationalism in it's best incarnations has allowed in Europe to develop distinct societies, with their excelling qualities, distinct cuisines, Scientific establishments, cultures. fiercely defending their territories and integrities. That competition, while often messy, has produced much of the advancement the human race has seen, Hats off to the greater other civilisations, ethnicity based, too! and all projecting these attributes into the immigration areas of the world.
Shame that these outstanding developments are now on the endangered species list.
Nationalism has solved the problem of identity theft, the race to the bottom.

To echo simons point, your op is incredibly vague. Perhaps give some context to the type of nationalism or some historical example. Otherwise this is a very vague question that has so much lattiude in definition its hard to answer.
