I watched the judge sentence him.
I think his fellow inmates are going to give him their own type of justice at some point.

It’s not about me. It’s about society at large. It’s about the hope of a shift in consciousness. It’s about victims getting justice.
I’m not overreacting at all. This case is shocking, and the mentality that allowed Nassar to operate as long as he did is simply mind boggling.
This guy didn’t rape alone. Persons above him took willful action to cover this up. Hopefully they will be held accountable in some way.
Doing nothing is a deliberate action. So is choosing not to believe victims when they come forward. These wrongs are committed time and again.
Nassar is just a personification of the attitude that prevails in many institutions. His letters justifying his behavior are sickening.
How any institution in this day and age could not take note of the countless cases ( Sandusky anyone?? ) that are coming to light, and the eventual impact they must have, is beyond me.
For the record, I don’t give a rat’s ass about what the WTBTS may be “legally” responsible for. Morally, they are no better than Nassar, or any other predator.
Am I predicting the fall of the WTBTS?? No! That would be ridiculous. I’m simply blown away by another case where Institutions dropped the ball again, and the similarities in attitudes between Nassar and the GB/WTBTS Legal are staggering.

ludicrous. The gb no more made anyone a rapist than they made anyone a vegetarian. The two witness rule dosent make anyone a rapist nor does it allow a culture a of rape. What created the awful situation in the org was the culture of discouraging (even forbidding) victims from going to the police and the idea that nobody should be warned of a pedo. Thats hell and gone from this piece of waste raping these little girls. Whatever evil gb 1.0 or 2.0 maybe guilty of, it aint what he is.

The policies that the governing body and their lawyers protect at the expense of children are allowing child rapists to hide in kingdom halls all over the world.
When adults have sex with children it’s rape. If the GB and their lawyers want to look the other way, they share a measure of responsibility. In actuality, they do more than just look away. Just like the RCC, they deliberately cover these things over. They flat out lie to save their own asses.
As the judge who sentenced Nassar said, “Your pattern is one of self preservation..”

The WTBTS is just as guilty in a moral sense as the actual persons who are carrying out these crimes.
I dont post much anymore, but this story was shocking to me. I applaud the Prosecution and the Judge. They recognized the guilt of Nassar and there may be consequences for any who looked the other way.
I didn't post because I actually think the WTBTS cares, and I certainly didn't post to measure dicks with anyone. The point is the striking similarities in attitudes of the abusers.
I’m not sure that I can make the point any clearer. Just watch the proceedings.

Actually not always if an adult has sex with a child is it rape legally speaking. It is what the laws of that land are. In some countries, adults can have sex with children as young as 13 or 14 and it is perfectly legal.

I don't see any impact to the Watchtower from this. It might be different if they go after the people in USA gymnasts that must have known of this, you don't get that many victims without someone raising it as an issue at some point. Even then I don't see the GB seeing any connection to their own actions, they seem far to oblivious.
