The point fat freek is that as they had to lengthen their timeframe from 1874, this tunnel had to grow too. Not a mistake, a deception. I think jwfacts has a great section on this.

Looking at the references in the older publications (which you have kindly supplied) just demonstrates how fragile if not foolish was the basis for their portentous claims.
