I would stick with the don't ask don't tell ......attitude. If this works to keep the family intact, that s the way to go. Watch out however, he may be setting you up for a trap that would force the issue and break up your family anyway. Be strong and stick to your guns.
I wonder if it occurs to them that there are valid reasons why so many are inactive. They never seem to really want to get to the 'why' part of it, because I'm sure they are afraid to hear what people really think.

I think you should ask him to have a book study with you.
But do not have the study with a WTS book, have it with Crisis of Concience.
Have your own set of questions to be answered at the end of each chapter.
Tell him if he can agree to do that and show you how the book is full of lies, you'll be more than happy to start attending meetings again.
