Dont really like any kind of wine. Had this been a thread about Fosters (Australian for Beer hehehe) I would feel more qualified to comment.

Boone's Farm Strawberry....first time I drank wine (ar any liquor) and tried the whole bottle. It was kind of red....
It was very difficult to get the barf off of my mother's yellow shag rug. (I passed out and made an attempt to turn my head while retching...on the positive side, my clothing was much cleaner than the carpet)
Tina of the *only sips red wine now class*
Piat D'or.
Commercial brew, thin and reedy, no aftertaste.
Englishman.
Least favorite red? For the sake of Ozzie's thread, the one Shiraz that gets low marks from me is the Talus '99.
TH mentioned Reislings. Probably the only white that I love. Reislings, for those who don't know, are the ideal grape for Ice Wine. Ice Wine is not produced in very many places. Northern Michigan is one of those few places. The best I have ever had was from the Black Star Farms outside of Suttons Bay. Amazing flavor and aroma. If you like pineapple, peaches, and apricots, this wine is for you. The aroma and taste contain all three elements, practically overwhelming you. Ice wine could almost be confused for a liqeur. It leans towards the syrupy side. The $70 for a 1/2 bottle leaves this wine for special occasions only.
My favorite red's are Pinot Noir's. Tough to get good vintages with these grapes. But when you find one, buy what you can!
On a sad note, my all-time favorite winery, Clos du Bois, released this news today.
Hard to pick just one.
Buca di Beppo's house red comes to mind. Buca is a chain of Italian restaurants in the states that is quite fun. Their house red is just awful. I was shocked when they served it to me chilled. Gross. I finally got a server to admit they serve it chilled because it is box wine and tastes even worse at room temp.
We bought a case of Bulgarian red wine at the liquor store one time. It was incredibly cheap, so we thought it worth a try. The first bottle tasted really good, but after that, we decided it was good cooking wine.
Yeah, Buca di Beppo's house red, is pretty tart. I got their Chianti one night, and my eldest son asked me if I enjoyed paying $6 a glass. That was shocking. I guess you should ask first. They serve it in water glasses though, so you get a lot!!!
I must say that I too had a serious distaste for the "reds". That was until I discovered a little import to Canada from OZ called Yellow Tail Shiraz. OMG you all must try it, it is so full of flavor and it doesn't give you a headache as most red wines do. YUM
AS IF I don't drink!!
I was there when we paid dearly for the Chianti. We did get to keep the groovy Chianti bottle though. It was good but not THAT good!
Did you ever go to the winery the Sydney bethelites go to? It's about 15 minutes away from bethel, and you take your own bottles and fill them up from the barrel. It's on old Italian (I think) family and they have hundreds of varieties to choose from. Very cheap, discreet [depending what sort of bottle you take to fill] and a high alchohol content..
Yes, Max Divergent, I 've been a frequent visitor there in my more "theocratic" days. As you say, Bethelites frequent the place. It's called Cogno Brothers and is in the village of Cobbitty. Know it well.
Wine there is cheap, cheap, cheap.....but not just in price.
Cheers, Ozzie
Hardy's R&R Cant remember for sure but think it was a Cab Sav. Yucko, but it was a few years ago, might've been a bad year. I like a nice merlot. Gramps being my Fave.I'm a bit of an old wino.
Edited to add: Hey Ozzie I have had both your worst wines and must admit they were pretty ordinary. Put it this way, I didn't go buy another bottle.
