It has been well proven that DUI puts the drivers life in danger as well as others. They are more concerned with what they consider to be biblical drunkenness rather than the more serious issue of putting others in danger.

False. The legal definition of intoxication varies (as the cult said) and has nothing to with “putting others lives in danger”. Example: in the jurisdiction in which i live .08 is the legal limit... unless you have a cdl in which case .02 is the limit. Same person but different limit based on drivers license. Its arbitrary and designed as a “feel good” law, same as seat belt laws. Of course there HAS to be a frame work to discourage and/or punish driving under the influance of alcohol or drugs but the linits set are indeed arbitrary and purposely low to establish a threshold of non impairment. Someone at that legal limit wouldnt appear or act the least impaired.

Also why the hell do you think its the cult business in anyway whatsoever if someone is drunk, biblically or not? Why the hell does a religion have any say in anyway on this issue? Just wondering

I must be listening to too many ads produced by the Government to reduce road accidents but I was under the impression that it was not safe to drive over .08 and for young inexperienced drivers, no alcohol would be a wise choice.

The science on how alcohol affects a person’s driving skills has evolved over the years. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), although outward appearances may vary, virtually all drivers are impaired at .08 BAC. Laboratory and on-road research shows that the vast majority of drivers, even experienced drivers, are impaired at .08 BAC in critical driving tasks such as braking, steering, lane changing, judgment, and divided attention.

As to the JW religion sticking their nose into whether a person is drunk or not and subjecting them to a JC is their business, that's what they do, they think they have the authority to do so.

My point was that they are more concerned with how drunk a person is rather than being concerned about safety.

In answer to smiddy 3's question

"Are their more pages than the 3 shown here ? as it doesn`t finish with the usual sign off ?"

This is because after the E&MS meeting the MS's get asked to leave and the Elders' only meeting starts. So the first meeting finishes at the end of the conclusion on page 2. The MS's file out and immediately the CO will start page 3 with the elders only.

So page 3 will be a "loving reminder" for the elders (in any congo) and at the end of page 3 they will finish with the CO outline and carry on with the specific stuff for that particular congo.

You know - appointments/deletions + any particular problem like low hours etc.

    @_Morpheus:

0.02-0.03 BAC: No loss of coordination, slight euphoria and loss of shyness. Depressant effects are not apparent. Mildly relaxed and maybe a little lightheaded.

I'm not sure I want someone driving a passenger bus or dangerous liquids around town in those situations. Beyond that you start feeling even lower inhibitions and slight impairments in coordination. That is beyond the fact that if you're driving something that requires CDL, you're on the job. Plus, most indications of the effects are the effects on males, females are much more affected and have lower thresholds altogether.

Mythbusters did a thing where they tried to get drunk and even 0.02 was noticeable on them so it probably depends on the person but 0.08 is pretty darn drunk.

What the 'Hell' does Biblically drunk mean? I bet if every Elder in the world had to blow into one of these on meeting nights or before an Elders meeting, the results would shock the rank and file.

I thought we all had to be obedient to the laws of the land (Ceasars Laws) unless they conflicted with God's laws?

So, if the law says someone is "over the limit" they are indeed breaking the law! (No matter if that varies from place to place.

For the GB to try and imply that "biblical" intoxication is different is appalling!

After all, biblical intoxication had God's worshippers "Naked" (Moses), or committing incest (Lot). Maybe that is the criteria for Biblical intoxication???

    Ticketed for dui???

What police dept will "ticket" someone for dui and just let him continue driving home? They would be arrested and the car impounded. Don't the GB know this?!!
