I've been in several congregations, generally in the 5 range.

My brother is in brum now with his wife, still a witness but dont ask me where cos he doesnt keep in touch

I'm still in Cov but not in ANY cong, would not go back again, my mums sister are still all witnesses in wyken (Last I heard they were anyway) and blank me whenever they pass me in the street so theres no way I'm taking that treatment in their own congregation

I think my congregation was a bit above average. Mostly friendly, a few crazies, and elders who I have to admit were very good speakers. I really don't think too much of it now, other than throwing my garbage in their parking lot now and then...

1st - Rouge Park, Detroit, MI 6 out of 10 [far too controlling, but by JW standards spiritually strong with few major problems in the early to mid 70s]

2nd - North Dearboran, Dearborn, MI 9 out of 10 [a breath of fresh air, a lot of latitude yet also JW standards spititually strong with few major problems in the mid to late 70s]

3rd - Jurupa Hills, Riverside, CA 5 out of 10 [seemed to have a lot of problems but was not too controlling in the early 80s]

4th - Benicia, CA 5 out of 10 [PO was heavy handed and hurt a lot of members spiritually, especially those who were "weak", i.e. in need of assistance] This was my last congregation attending from the early 80s to 94 when I disassociated

    1. somewhere in Florida: 8. Easy going fun cong. but they convinced my dad to spank me more. Ouch!

    2. somewhere in Wisconsin: 8. Lots of fun times with these folks. I still miss my friends there that shun me now.

    3. somewhere in Wisconsin: 0. Bunch of stuck up holier than thou pricks. I was 15 and the only kid my age was this cute girl who it seems wasn't allowed to speak to me. There was a rule of no joke telling in the KH. That would definately not fly in cong. #2

    4. back to cong. #2 thank god.

    5. somewhere in Wisconsin: 5. Nice group but they kicked me out.

John Wirtanen, I am in Detroit right now. I went to a few meetings in Southfield when I was younger with my grandmother and I hated the hall. It was too crowded and I didn't feel any love in the room. Mattnoel, where is East Jordan? I have lived all over the state of Michigan and I don't have a clue where that is. :) Okay my experience: First congregation Hale, MI My grandfather was the PO my dad was an elder and my uncles were MS so it was a great hall for me. It was a small congregation and very close knit. I would give it a 9/10. My next few sucked! Midland, MI both North and South congregations I would give a 2/10. My last was Flint, MI East cong. I would give it a 0/10. Very unfriendly and cliquey..even worse than Midland and that is saying ALOT! Cheers! ~Aztec

Puyallup Congregation: pretty damn good, people were nice and the most stunning of gods creations was there, Joomi Lee. I give this Hall a 9.5

Graham Congregation: the fifth ring of hell, everyone in everyone elses business, constant rumors and backstabbing, amazing amounts of hypocrisy (Oh let's lecture on the evils of fornication and non chaperone dating. By the way lets not notice the glut of teenage mothers and an elders daughter that is DF'd every 6 months). A severe lack of education. I give this Hall a 1.2

There are severely different KH but the message is still the same. It is a matter of how backwoods you go.

In order to rate my old congregation, I need to be given an example of a 10 congregation to compare it against. What are the characteristics of a 10 congregation? Does one even exist? Let me know if there is one, I might want to check it out.
