I think if it was for health reason they would announced he decided to step down cause bad health. And thank him for his service. Especially cause he's not liked and would create rumours not announcing things that way.

I listened to "six screens" last evening and the commenters. Here are a few take away thoughts. The fact there was a terse announcement without any explanation leads to speculation. We are all speculating and I imagine the insiders are as well. The terse statement indicates it likely wasn't a voluntary "step down"...I think they should have told what took place...

I can speculate: years ago when the WT prophets were shown to be liars, they had fall guys-apostates within the high places there. I think another head will roll soon as there were 2 new members added. They need scape goats. Maybe it has something to do with 1914 doctrine. Maybe the CSA...we don't know. Wouldn't it be a hoot if he becomes bitter with the org. and writes a tell-all? ( another thought from six screens?)

Anyway, I don't hate him. I don't like it that he preached hate speech...he may feel the effects soon. If something was so out of line that it meant removal as GB, why wouldn't that be a DF offense? After all, he claimed to be a faithful slave. To be removed, by that standard would mean an evil slave that would be put out with the dogs.

    Freemail:

It means nothing. The world still spins and JWs will carry on as usual.
Everybody should just get on with life and stop obsessing over trivialities like this religion.
It means a great deal to me. JWdom is a cult that stole virtually my entire life. I lived in misery for decades because of it. All my family members are still in, and, as a result, I have zero relationship with them. It is natural for people like me to be interested in the goings-on in JW land.

Actually, there are a lot of things that "mean nothing" that people are interested in; do you tell them to stop being interested in such? Are humans supposed to just be interested in survival? Are we to just work and eat and sleep and not be interested in things that don't relate to our survival? Are we not to watch movies, read Shakespeare, or be interested in things that "mean nothing"?

The truth is that you mean nothing to me. I know nothing about you and couldn't care less what you think. I have vastly more interest in what happens to Tony Morris than what you have to say.

Maybe someone could write to AM3 and ask him if its all a big scam.

Magnum, I agree that what happens/ed to TM means something to us. It causes a lot of questions and speculations...if by apostates, you know those on the inside also want to know. If they start questioning, they too may wake up. Maybe some in your families will wake up. Maybe some of my old friends will wake up...I would hope so!

Hayden Covington was Rutherford's booze buddy Rutherford while dying urged Franz, Knorr and him as the new governing body to "stick together no matter what happens..." Knorr and Franz dumped him for drinking and totally eliminated all of Rutherford's supporters and even doctrines. People have been removed for alcoholism.

Naturally, it's hard to say what's happened.

    Here's another thought.

Morris has given so many talks that have been over the top shortly after the broadcasting started. I think they have tried to reign him in over the years or come to agreements to cover over things or did their best to ensure there was some damage control.

For instance, his tight pants talk was ridiculous but somehow it made it to the Watchtower sometime later and was watered down. They supported the stupid outrage but put a different spin to it.

I would think they've had a very difficult time dealing with his eccentric behaviour, either to minimise it or placate many JWs writing in or Bethelite's murmuring about it.

It may have just reached a peak where they can no longer work with him, he has a mental disorder where he can no longer be reasoned with on a satisfactory level.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had anger issues or was extremely stubborn. If he has a drinking problem this type of behaviour isn't unexpected.

It could be that the only option was to remove him and he has taken this really badly.

It would follow that they sympathised with his family and not him as his behaviour doesn't warrant it as he doesn't see anything wrong with it and doesn't intend on changing.

One thing is for certain is the Borg will always lack that of 'transparency'.

That's why I doubt we'll ever here the real reason as to why AM3 is no longer on the GB.

Yep my guess is they will not even talk about the elephant in the room and we will have lots of reminders not to gossip or speculate and whatever you do only look at he.org and nothing else ever

the trouble bled for them is if you don’t address the elephant in the room they will cause more damage due to curiosity killed the brainwashed cult members

Why would poor health cause him to step down from the GB? It's not like they do anything but have a meeting and work in an office.
