Maybe a flat earth description in the bible was intentional. Weren't there supposed surprise inventions of God for future generations. Ecclesiastes 3:11 comes to mind.

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men, yet they cannot fathom the work God has done from beginning to end."

To ancient people, the fact of walking upside down on this world would be ludicrous. Mass and Gravity of the elements would have no meaning to those will no grounding in science. At some point in life a person has to become a believer in gravity to accept the fact that the earth is a globe.

A long time ago a co-worker of mind told me a story about a belief his mother had. She said that man could never have walked on the moon due to what the bible said at Genesis 1:16

"God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night. And he made the stars as well."

His mom was under the impression that the moon when lit up was emitting fire like the sun. She reasoned that the astronauts would burn up when they approached the moon. Isn't that funny?

I seriously do not understand how in this day and age there are those questioning the fact that planet earth is an orb. It is beyond stupid and a real waste of time to even contemplate otherwise.

Since the bible from A t Z teaches a flat earth, even having 4 corners, occupied by perfect humans in revelation (the Z),

It is a great topic to show it could not possibly inspired by the creator, and that, by being bunk, any religion based on it is bunk, and those that support it,-- bunkers. bonkers? and

that is why wt shows bunker videos, as a last resort.

One thing the original poster hasn't accepted yet is that the humanity had to endure through the ignorance of the world and universe of which mankind lives .

The reason so many ancient civilizations believed in gods ie Hebrew Israelites.

Human ignorance is a indefensible fact.

For anyone who finds this subject an interesting mental exercise:

A simple and (from a visual perspective) striking indication of the earth's shape can be seen in the night sky.

To an observer on earth, the starfield appears to rotate around a clearly defined point.

The location of this point (i.e. the celestial pole) varies depending upon where you live.

As you can see, it is almost directly overhead at the earth's poles:

However as you move away from the earth's poles, the point of rotation sinks toward the horizon:

The two dimensional explanation offered on page 8 of this thread (i.e. Small sun over a flat earth) does not explain this phenomenon, as this is a shift in all three axis.

In other words, the celestial pole has not simply moved laterally relative to the observer; its angle of presentation has changed as well.

If we connect the dots, by drawing lines between the celestial pole and the observer as they travel towards the equator, we end up plotting an arc.
