  Thirteen years ago you commented on an idea circulating among some JWs prior to 1975, that there was a possibility that Armageddon survivors might NOT be able to marry.

  I was also influenced by this idea.

  You indicate it was based on the wedding vows that imply that there might be a time when marriage would not be an option. And that seems to ring a bell with me.

  However, is there ANYTHING in the publications that supports this... at all? I am writing something about this and would like to, if possible, show a Watchtower quotation or reference. I have searched and am coming up short.

  Ohhhh....let's spin this more. "The just shall inherit the earth" Matt 5:5, note carefully, it does't say the same people living forever, it's just the just as a whole that live forever in paradise.

  "He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will no more death, or sorrow, or crying, or pain. All this things are done forever" Rev21:4, let's be clear, people could cry sometimes in paradise, so this scripture is symbolic. When people reach their old age they are gonna died as always, but is gonna be a painless process.

  So survivors could go with their lives in paradise, including marrying . Don't expect to live forever, of course.

  OMG, I think I could start a new religion here.

  I remember talks in the 70's and 80's where this was often said.

  It was one of the reasons the guys my age were rushing to get married, because when the Big A came (like any second now) (THEN), we would never have the chance to have sex ever!

  I remember elders saying how its likely that in the New System, we might one day just excreat our sex organs.

  That was terrifying!

  Nowadays they lean toward saying ‘yes’ , without committing themselves. I think a lot of widowed dubs cherish the hope.

  The fact is the Armageddon as it was expressed in the bible is fictional mythology so interpretation from after that and the 1000 year rein of Christ can go in many directions as one chooses.

If we say 'no', that pisses off the little old blue-haired widows, and they won't include us in their wills. So best to just shrug out shoulders and let you believe what you want.”

  I remember often hearing about how -

  1) Resurrected ones will not be allowed to marry (Jesus says so in the Gospels).

  2) A time may come in the New System/World when all marriages will be absolved and there will be no more marriage.

  #2 is directly related to the OP question. I think this was a prudish way of saying "One day, in the New System, there will no longer be sex." This I believe is related to the issue of overcrowding the Earth. End marriage = end of sex = no overcrowding.

  This line of reasoning in itself is leads one to the direct Biblical truth that 1) Adam & Eve in the garden in Eden was allegory. 2) humans were never intended to live forever.

  The WTS via the bible create nonsensical delusions which they propagate to others turning these ones into their own subjective mental slaves.

  The question is akin to "will my magical time-machine have a radio?" ... stop focusing on the radio, why do you imagine the magical time-machine is a real thing!
