No blood transfusions in life-threatening situations, even for minors.

In case of child sexual abuse or allegations of child sexual abuse, call legal dept first.

    No independent thinking.

Good gravy, there's so much to choose from.

Just picking one at random, one thing that bugs me every time I read it in their "literature": The idea of "qualifying" for eternal life, and that such "qualification" is tied entirely to the degree of "obedience" one exhibits.

I'm certainly no Biblical scholar, but even a cursory uneducated reading of the new testament does not lead one to the conclusion that the promise of eternal life is something that one "qualifies" for based on "obedience".

The Watchtower never admits it is wrong or apologizes for the pain it caused with its teaches.

    I second truth b known.

The religion and its leaders should display Christian qualities. They are not exempt from this requirement. One of these things is asking forgiveness for your sins, which they don't do. Moreover, if you say you disagree with them on even insignificant matters, they will cast you out labeling you an apostate/anti-Christ. This is the furthest thing from being meek and humble Christian leaders.

Christ is NOT my mediator, is what WT teaches. After over 50 years as a JW, 25 as an elder and 3 as a MS, I didn't know this was a doctrine of WT. I believe that he IS my mediator, (1Tim 2:4-6) and so did my wife and others, until they did further research in WT publications. They then came back and told me that Christ is not their mediator. Sad! I guess the WT publications trumps/carries more weight than the bible?

    From an outsider's viewpoint?

I would say they've not lived up to their name

If you were to ask 100 people on the street, a few might be familiar enough with Jehovah's Witnesses to know that they distribute literature, but not one of them would understand the message itself.

Not one of them would understand why they would perish if the JW Armageddon were to happen tomorrow and in that sense, Jehovah's Witnesses have failed in their most basic mission

The claim that there is no human leader.

Oddly, and sinisterly, this is used as an excuse for why the organization can not be held accountable for all of the times it has been wrong and all of the people that have been hurt. It also justifies why what the religion teaches is always "the truth," even when it's wrong.

Yes good point , to the WTS GB men righteousness is obtained through them, they are mankind's mediator not Jesus so the dismissing of some of Jesus's teachings are placed aside.

    John 14 : .......

. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
