my son's birthday celebrated

  just a short post to say that i feel really happy today. my 19 yo son has had his birthday acknowledged and celebrated today for the first time in 13 years.

  AND IT FEELS GOOD FOR ME as his mother to remind him every year, on the day he came into the world, that i consider from that day on, the best days of my life. i cried as i wrote his card, thinking of all the wasted time in the borg, but now is the time to move on and start enjoying freedom.

  so i just wanted to share this with people who i'm sure understand and share in the joy.
