Haven't y'all learned that you can never win an argument over politics or religion? The 2 most decisive subjects of all time!

    just saying!

I dont think its been made clear what Trump did was illegal, he stated not long ago that he would ask for help from a foreign country to dig up information toward his own political opponents.

It may be a bit shady and unscrupulous of an activity but illegal ???

Correct. And for the simpletons who still don't get it because they are blinded by their bias ... if asking a foreign power to investigate possible corruption is a crime then asking foreign powers to create fake dossiers to launch an illegal spying operation on a rival political party to win seats and remove a president is more of a crime, in fact, it's a coup attempt and people should be imprisoned at the very least.

    Yep

    https://codes.findlaw.com/us/title-52-voting-and-elections/52-usc-sect-30121.html

Elections § 30121. Contributions and donations by foreign nationals

    (a) Prohibition

    It shall be unlawful for--

    (1)  a foreign national, directly or indirectly, to make--

    (A)  a contribution or donation of money or other thing of value, or to make an express or implied promise to make a contribution or donation, in connection with a Federal, State, or local election;

    (B)  a contribution or donation to a committee of a political party;  or

    (C)  an expenditure, independent expenditure, or disbursement for an electioneering communication (within the meaning of section 30104(f)(3) of this title);  or

    (2)  a person to solicit, accept, or receive a contribution or donation described in subparagraph (A) or (B) of paragraph (1) from a foreign national.

    (b) “Foreign national” defined

As used in this section, the term “foreign national” means--

    (1)  a foreign principal, as such term is defined by section 611(b) of Title 22 , except that the term “foreign national” shall not include any individual who is a citizen of the United States;  or

    (2)  an individual who is not a citizen of the United States or a national of the United States (as defined in section 1101(a)(22) of Title 8 ) and who is not lawfully admitted for permanent residence, as defined by section 1101(a)(20) of Title 8 .

Apparently, you just need to setup a "foundation" who can accept monies on your behalf or, have a relative get paid for some invented work.

Of course when you leave office, the donations to your foundation and family suddenly dry up, but that's entirely coincidental and not linked to your inability to make decisions as part of government anymore.

So from that information it is an illegal offense to receive money from a foreign government/person toward a person or committee to effect a US election, Federal, State or otherwise.

It doesn't state anything about drafted out information, written or spoken .

    (A)  a contribution or donation of money or other thing of value

Asking the president of a nation to dig up "dirt" on a potential political rival is a "thing of value" for an election.

I don't care about the other two guys you keep throwing out. THEY ARE NOT THE PRESIDENT TRUMP IS.

#Triggered. Wasn’t Simon just parroting what you were doing? He did that to show you can’t quite accept putting the show on the other foot, so-to-speak. Your statement

This president is a bully and the biggest liar ...

    Yes, we know. He’s a poo-poo head.

...and law breaker I have ever seen.

Nope. List them out. Again, rubber meets the road here. Draft up some Articles. Present an argument that doesn’t reduce to a policy disagreement... or an orange-man-bad.

Why do you even care about this guy? Don't you live in Canada? This is my country and I have the right to believe what I want to believe and say concerning my country not yours or any other country just mine.

Maybe not Simon, but it’s my country. And you *do* have the right to believe whatever you want. And you *do* have the right to say what you want.

But, if I were a leftist, I would say that your words are a clear example of hate speech, as I see it. It’s clearly offensive and hateful, and should be prohibited.

The far right religious nuts love trump because they feel he will bring on the end of the world.

That is exactly backwards. And I’m not religious. And the “right” isn’t defined by being religious.

That's why they call him the chosen one.

No, he’s called the “chosen one” or “the god emperor” to trigger leftists. It is actually fun to see leftists freak out. It is literally a troll. It’s good for you. Maybe it will eventually sink in that you are experiencing TDS.

Just because I'm in Canada doesn't mean I don't do what most Canadians do, which is to pop down around election time to cast our vote.

    (heads, exploding ...)

Seriously, this is a discussion forum - once you start telling people they shouldn't be allowed an opinion then I take that as an admission that your argument is weak to non-existent.
