In response to a previous post of mine about Internet file sharing, a poster by the name of Brad (anti-absolutist or something) told me that he's not suprised I "steal music files" as from my my previous posts he felt I'd been trying to steal the spirit out of this forum for a while now, and that he despised me more than JWs, as my form of reasoning, he felt, was even more shallow than theirs. Admittedly I disagree with alot of posters here and will at times post pro JW posts as I see fit from my perspective. Some here choose not to answer any of my posts, some will and will mainly say I'm mis-informed to some extent, which is fine by me as that is what an open forum is about. But to tell me I've been trying to steal the spirit out of everyone and then lump me in with a crook seems a bit harsh to me. Am I right for feeling a bit put out, or should I shut up and realise that here is to agree and not disagree?

I don't know quite what that means, "he felt I'd been trying to steal the spirit out of this forum for a while now". As you know, your form of reasoning disgust me also, and you pretty much admit that it is shallow... kind of non reasoning. You simply don't seem to be willing or able to look critically at important things, meanwhile these important things hurt and kill people. Hurting and killing people is wrong Scooby.

Regardless of what was posted Scooby Snax. To be as hurtful and thoughtless as to tell someone they are stealing the spirit of this plac, it is a bit harsh. I encourage interaction and exchanges of ideals. That is how we learned and grew ourselves. So to me it is unthinkable to try to drive someone else away who is journeying themselves.
I understand mistrust, anger, etc. But this is beyond good taste.
Besides that I don't think this place's spirit can be stolen, or sold. It is an entities unto itself, made up of the posters. Each contribute to it and detract from it. IT is a choice.

Well, it sounds like you got your feelings hurt.
(Maybe he thought the "S Club 7" post was way over the top (?) Who knows....)
Try not to get too down because of it ...maybe some folks believe doing the "cruel to be kind" stuff is actually helpful to you.
Not really my style. That's why I left the KH
