EverApostate, as long as secular governments make that illegal for religions to stone "apostates," the WTS will not do it. In some countries the secular government and dominant religion can and have worked together regarding punishments for criminals (apostasy would be violating a religious law = secular law).

If the WTS could try to make the majority of jws violate secular law and spend time in prison or perhaps be executed themselves, I would doubt that. Some have but not many. Would you have when you were a believer? Not me.

I can't imagine most jws doing it, let alone jw relatives.

Even in 1952 when the WTS hinted at this, they said:

Watchtower 1952 Nov 15 pp.703-704 Questions from Readers

    • In the case of where a father or mother or son or daughter is disfellowshiped, how should such person be treated by members of the family in their family relationship?—P.C., Ontario, Canada.

We are not living today among theocratic nations where such members of our fleshly family relationship could be exterminated for apostasy from God and his theocratic organization, as was possible and was ordered in the nation of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai and in the land of Palestine. "Thou shalt surely kill him; thy hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him to death with stones, because he hath sought to draw thee away from Jehovah thy God, . . . And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is in the midst of thee."—Deut. 13:6-11, AS.

Being limited by the laws of the worldly nation in which we live and also by the laws of God through Jesus Christ, we can take action against apostates only to a certain extent, that is, consistent with both sets of laws. The law of the land and God's law through Christ forbid us to kill apostates, even though they be members of our own flesh-and-blood family relationship . However, God's law requires us to recognize their being disfellowshiped from his congregation, and this despite the fact that the law of the land in which we live requires us under some natural obligation to live with and have dealings with such apostates under the same roof.

    Gosh...

...you'd almost be tempted to think New Light was less about theological improvement...

...and more about tightening the fucking screws.

"...The law of the land and God's law through Christ forbid us to kill apostates..."

Given what we know at this point...

...you can't help but wonder just how badly assholes like Jaracz wished they could've added the word "unfortunately".

So the WT admits they abide to the law of the land and God, not to kill apostates. Other wise they would kill apostates.

They never admit that , killing a person just for his disbelief is a horrendous act of violence against another fellow human, for a silly reason. So they don’t have a humanitarian conscience. Only law abiding conscience. See the point here ?

Also, If they abide by the law, why do they hold secret field service and meetings in banned countries ? So abiding to the law is always for the WT corporations best interests.

I will answer as a jw might; when secular law disagrees with their god's law, such as meeting together for religious purposes or to preach their message, jws should break the law and accept the consequences. but use theocratic strategy (just explaining, not sustaining; just reporting, not supporting)

    https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2006326?q=obey+caesar%27s+laws&p=par

Nevertheless, subjects of God’s Kingdom remain loyal to their invisible King without disrespecting human authorities. (Titus 3:1, 2) Jesus stated: “Pay back Caesar’s things to Caesar, but God’s things to God.” (Mark 12:13-17) Christ’s subjects, therefore, obey governmental laws that do not conflict with God’s laws. (Romans 13:1-7) However, when the Jewish high court went against God’s laws by ordering Jesus’ disciples to stop preaching, they firmly but respectfully said that they had to “obey God as ruler rather than men.”—Acts 1:8; 5:27-32.

Back in the olden days, the WTS used this phrase "theocratic war strategy." Also the WTS defines lying as withhold the truth from those entitled to it. Thus, the WTS and its members, say they are not lying to the secular authorities because they are not entitled to the truth. (I might suggest searching these words and/or phrases on JWN, and you will a great discussion of both topics.

What should you do, for example, if the authorities restrict the Kingdom activity in your land and you are called in for questioning about your brothers? Must you tell them everything you know? What did Jesus do when he was interrogated by the Roman governor? In line with the Scriptural principle that there is “a time to be silent and a time to speak,” Jesus at times said nothing at all! (Eccl. 3:1, 7; Matt. 27:11-14) In such a setting, discretion is the better course, so that we do not put our brothers at risk.—Prov. 10:19; 11:12.

The WTS might use this scripture:

    John 8:58, 59

Jesus said to them: “Most truly I say to you, before Abraham came into existence, I have been.” 59 So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid and went out of the temple.

    Blondie,

Yes I agree. When ever mans law confilcts with Gods Law(The laws of ancient middle east desert nomads) they fall back to those gods laws. I too was brainwashed with these for 11 years.

As in with most religions, new light simply means new bullshit to cover past bullshit.

But the power and self sanctification stays with the leaders irregardless.
