There is possibly some good to come out of this. It is as if the WT is graduating from the junior school and has begun to think about the responsibilities of writing accurate information. This false pride in being correct is childish and trite since it is the basic requirement of a writer to convey accurate information from reliable and ideally from primary (first hand) sources.

Projecting this trend forward, perhaps for the first time the org, by doing proper research, is going to realise how the “holy” acts in the Bible are just pagan folk tales dressed up as fact.

    Wakey wakey Watchtower!

In summary, the Writing Department insists on using only material that is accurate and truthful, even regarding seemingly insignificant details.

It was Watchtowers journalistic dishonesty that was my first clue that they really didn't value factual truth.

At a district convention (organized by WT) one brother from each attending congregation was given a ''press release'' to take back to local newspapers in their espective teritories, to garner free local PR.

It was just a printed infomercial for the cult extolling the numbers in attendance. It was made to appear as an interview including a longwinded quote - to which we brothers were supposed to fill in our own names as the source of the quote!

They not only orchestrated this deception but expected to foist it off on unsuspecting local newspapers.

Not after they've moved they won't.

How about the quotations from spiritualist Johannes Greber?
The 1955 and 1956 WT quotes him as saying he communicates with spirits, but then from 1962 until 1976 repeatedly quote from his books where he corroborates with WT interpretation.

It's not until 1983 they they again 'remember' he is a spiritualist and stop printing his demonised thoughts in the WT.

Wonderment - "By the way, the WT quote of Wikipedia's admission of errors only confirms the open and candid status of Wikipedia, unlike the WT Society which hardly ever acknowledges they make mistakes in their theology and publications."

    Now, there's some thump-you-over-the-head irony...
