The Watchtower of December 2015 reports the following reaction of a family with four teenagers in the country of Rwanda with the publication of the NWT, and how grateful they were for it. The WT magazine said:

Things changed when the New World Translation in their language became available. A Rwandan family with four teenagers said: “We really thank Jehovah and the faithful and discreet slave for giving us this Bible.

Where is "Jesus" here? Apparently Jesus has not been with these Christians in the time of the end. (Mat. 18.20; 28.20) But "the faithful and discreet slave" was -- and sadly, has seemingly taken over Jesus prerogative of being with his followers wherever they meet within WT Kingdom. True, the WT did not directly express the words attributed to the Rwanda family, but we all remember when we were JWs how often we heard Witnesses praying -- thanking Jehovah and the faithful and discreet slave. Obviously, they got this idea from the WT organization itself, who likes to promote unyielding blind loyalty to it.

The WT Society has, in practice, trampled on the honor of Jesus Christ, who is supposed ‘to be honored just as the Father’ is, not a composite ‘slave’ subservient to the Master, Christ. (John 5.23)

I think you should look at what is discussed. A Bible has been translated and printed, and I do not think too many Christians would believe that Jesus himself has translated or printed the Bible. The GB is responsible for the work carried out by the translators and the various aspects of the printing and these Africans therefore thank them. I don't see any reason for a whole lot of fuzz goin' on.

I think the concern may be the GB could be seen as 'striking the rock'.

What struck me was that they spent an hour yesterday asking the pre-planned questions, and parroting the printed answers in a "study" bragging about a Bible translation.

Here all along I thought they claimed that they actually studied the BIBLE. Not some magizine bragging about book publishing.

Jesus doesn't matter to Jehovah's Witnesses. Remember, they made him invisible, the one thing that was supposed to make God tangible to Christianity and the world.

You don't have to thank things that are invisible.

David J, yes that's the cunning plot; it's all invisible! The whole caboodle, Jesus, Big J, 1914, the kingdom, the paradise etc. It is an enormous edifice built on invisible foundations promising the most improbable rewards such as resurrection and everlasting life. Pure fantasy.

People are duped into this madness by religious crooks like the governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses.

    Wakey wakey people!
