Mishka. Unsure of the spelling. Supposed to mean 'bear' in Russian.

Hippikon. Stick to single syllable names if you can.

When I was a kid there were these people who had a Husky / German Shepherd mix, who lived behind us, and his name alone, conveyed the fact to stay out of their yard. It was THOR. Worked for me anyways.

You can't use the name Farkel, onacruse and I named our recently adopted cat Farkel! LOL

When I was very young we had a German Shepard named Devil.

I also agree with whoever said use one sylable names, but I sorta like the name Rocky for a dog. OH and Murphy, Serigo, Rex, Ringo and how about Star? LOL

Okay.......I need to get a life!

A year ago in April my old dog died and we adopted a one year old husky-german shepard mix at the local shelter, white face, black body, beautiful, very affectionate, and yes, very protective of her new family. The only problem with huskies, is that they need a lot of exercise, and we can't let her out on her own, she has to be on a leash . . . . she follows her nose and scents and tracks and soon gets lost . . . on December 28, I let her out in the morning, as I was going out also, and she didn't come back. She spent the night outside in the snow. We found her on the other side of the hill the next afternoon....

You're getting a Husky??? for Protection????? ROFLMAO

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

Ours was called "Denali" but answer to "Doofus" ;o)

The dog in "Call of the Wild" was named "Buck". You could call him Yukon Cornelius (ever see Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer??)

I'd probably just start looking at a map of Alaska for cool place names.
