When hasn't the area now called Israel and Gaza been at war? THOUSANDS OF YEARS! Never ends. Not "proof" of anything, but their own Bronze Age stupidity.
Guess who's coming to dinner.. Elder and nosey wife!

WingCommander, at least since Rome came and carried away the Jews and non-Jews came in lived there until 1948, and that ended it until 1948 when a new secular nation was established. Yes, too, at one time Israel was fighting against non-jewish nations, not necessarily Arabs though. There are so many feuds going on between groups that have last for a long time, and I think they have really forgotten how it started.

@blondie: nobody "carried away" the Jews. DNA evidence is quite clear, people with what we call Jewish origin have lived there for thousands of years in what the Romans called "Syria-Palestina". There is also an Arab and Christian population which has genetic roots. They are also called "Israelis" because they live in Israel and they ALSO have been displaced from Gaza and the West Bank for safety reasons.
The Romans themselves didn't keep the area until 1948. The so-called modern day Palestinians are genetically Jordanians, Egyptians and others from around that area in North Africa, they invaded in the early 20th century. Gaza and the West Bank was a concession to those people. Lebanon was a majority Christian country until the early 20th century, Syria was Alawite (Shia) Muslim and Druze, both countries have seen major populations of said religious groups moved into Israel, displaced from their own home countries since the late 19th century by surges of Sunni Muslims from modern day Iran, Egypt and Jordan (the latter two pushed out and massacred the "Palestinian" population because of integration issues). The Gazans/Palestinians are the ONLY group in the area that has not integrated into Israel. The Druze, Christians and Alawites all integrate perfectly fine in Israel.
