Or did you only wear solid colors? Will this bland, meaningless topic generate replies? Will I achieve "master" status before the month is out?

LOL
I presume you are directing this question to the guys here, although it wasn't unusual for women to wear business-type suits (with skirts, not trousers).
I've only had one pin-striped jacket in my life, and it looked quite smart on me. I still have it now, but it's a couple of sizes too small for me to wear. All my other jackets (I wear them for work, not meetings) are in solid colours, mostly black.

I once wore a beautifully feminine tie. Had a sort of Gibson Girl look going.
Got in trouble for wearing it. I guess only the brothers are supposed to have phallic symbols hanging down the front of their chests.

My first *suit* was for an interview while in college. I was trying to land a job after senior year and went to T.J. Maxx....found a really nice pinstripe, dark blue w/white stripes, and wore a white blouse that buttoned up to my chin.
The skirt was straight and past my knees. I had a very nice pair of navy pumps that coordinated. Glamour would have approved.
Yes, I wore it to the interview, yes I wore it in service. I was so proud of that suit. I even married my first husband in it, at the court house.
I will have to dig up a picture.....

LOL Nilfun.
Yes. I wore a pinstripe suit and I am a chick. My dad wore one too, so I guess that would give you at least 2 people who have.

Yeah I wore a pinstripe suit. navy with the stripes
Also had a dark green one with faint yellow stripes, A plain light blue one, also the usual dark suit. And patterned ties.
Used give talks wearing any of them. No one said a thing.

No, but I did wear maroon bell bottomed pants, and a burgundy crushed velvet bow tie - -with highly polished black platform shoes for awhile. (if I had a scanner I would post a picture) The year was 1971 - I had moved from a small town in the midwest to Los Angeles. Quite the fashion statement huh? LOL
My wife to be, Sabine married me anyway and promptly took charge of my wardrobe.

always a little behind the times.

I remember having a pinstripe somewhere between the mid 70's to late 70's. I was a bit young to know about whether it was in fashion in the outside world, but plenty of other brothers were wearing them too.

At the last DC I ever attended (2001), gangster-looking pinstripe suits (suit jacket down to the knees with about 20 buttons in the front) were all the rage among the young bros.
All they needed were carnations and tommy guns to complete the look.

Yeah, and I always made the householder an offer they couldn't refuse.
Strangly, I always placed a lot of magazines that way
