Jehovah’s Witnesses That Acted Like Humans

When you look back , did your Witness associates act like normal human beings? Did any of them ever show compassion and feelings for a disfellowshipped person?

Any elders ever try to be kind to you, not “kind” as Watchtower Organization dictates, but truly kind and caring for you if you were experiencing difficulties?

Some, many Witnesses were by the book robots who thought as they were told. Still , there were some that appeared to be real human beings.

Funny thing is though, even some of these people who I thought were pretty normal would probably not even say a genuine hello to me if they saw because I left the “Truth “ a long time ago.

    MINIMUS:

Back in the day I was once pulled aside by some busybody because I smiled at a person who was in a DF’d state. I was the ‘human being’ it would seem.

There may have been other sympathetic JWs but I assume they were too afraid of being seen to go against ‘policy’. It IS a fear-based religion you know!

Smiling equals approval to die hard Witnesses.

I think old Witnesses are tired. They lived a life following the Organization and what has it done for them. It’s very tough to admit that you were in reality a failure.

Every dub that was genuinely kind and caring that I knew, was considered “spiritually weak”.

They turn this org to preaching cooperation 30s. Think many came after and felt there was something really wrong with org. Either they bought the idea, members increase, sigh of blessings. Think biggest reason behind this disaster is GB living in a convent in delusional reality. I pointed out lack of love in congregations back in the 90s. Only answer i got was GB thought things were great, so no need for changes. I was being negative. Well to late to do anything now. Gonna be first on-line religion. That's what you get when you follow humans.

My first congregation was full of good people. It was part of what attracted me to the Watchtower. I remember one elder who was a pain, but most were OK. The others were pretty decent, especially the elder that married wife and I. After about ten years there, I left to go back to school. A few people discouraged the idea, this elder (he actually stepped down as an elder for a while because he couldn't handle the crap level) pulled me aside and told me to go for it, wife and I needed to get away from her family.

I sometimes wonder what the good ones are thinking now? Do they go to sleep at night, struggling with the knowledge that they wasted their lives?

I wonder too if they might even be envious of those of us who had the b*lls to get out.
