    The exact extent of this limited contact will depend on each individual’s personal circumstances and conscience.

    Ah! Right there! I spotted the lie! I knew there'd be one!

    The Norway government will be reading that letter very carefully to determine if they get their funding back.

    This letter from Watchtower to the Norwegian government didn’t mention disassociated ones as persons who have “chosen to withdraw” . The August 2024 Watchtower referred to in the same letter does not address disassociation. Disassociation is basically apostasy!

    If Norway accepts the changes the Watchtower makes, then the NW Government will re-institute the funding they were giving the Watchtower Every Month which amounts to;

    $1.5M (USD) that’s £1.2M (GBP)

    or 17M NOK per year.

    Proof that it's all about the money and nothing having to do with keeping the congregation clean.

    That explains why they are not hard on pedophiles who sexually abuse children.

    It's interesting. They really do not want to give up shunning as a way of controlling behavior. The letter explains that they will try really really hard to be as fair as possible and that young people who are DF still have family support, but they are pretty clear that they are not going to abandon shunning. They are offering to make it less onerous, but will not give it up entirely.

    I hope the response to this letter is that they encourage the WTS for taking a first step, then tell them that it is not enough. "We shun, but not as much as we used to" is not acceptable when you are asking the government to reinstate a recurring million-dollar gift.

    We wish to remind you that Jehovah's Witnesses believe in the Bible’s guidance that believers should limit contact with someone who has been removed from the congregation or has withdrawn (see, for example, 1 Corinthians 5:11-13). The exact extent of this limited contact will depend on each individual’s personal circumstances and conscience.

    They forgot the assterisk *

    * However if their individual personal circumstances and conscience does not move them to shun the person, they will also be "removed" resulting in their being shunned as well.

    As Larchington said, this letter proves that their motivation is $$$, not scripture. 🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴
