The Borg has its own unique teachings.
Based on a tapestry of scriptures they use a million times.
Thats why they don't use the whole bible.
There are missing verses..
Even,, entire passages,,vanishing.

I would suggest Van you refer to the latest iteration of the "Shepherd the Flock" Book. There you will see, IIRC, that the definition of Apostasy boils down to exactly what you say, so if not prepared to retract what was said, someone called before a J.C would be DF'd.
This is how it was when two Elders, on two occasions, a few months apart, tried to trap me in to not affirming the "Loyalty" question, this was posed to me in several ways, in different words, but every time I was supposed to reply that I totally went along with G.B in every way. All this when they claimed to be "Shepherding" me !
I dodged the bullet, and was not DF'd or DA'd. But one has to be nimble and on the ball when it gets to that.
In the latest softening of attitudes and reluctance to d/f I am pretty sure that Elders are told to “ lovingly try to restore such a person “ before jumping quickly to a committee. However, if you persist in such views and especially if you are speaking to others about it , that WT of 1986 still applies. ( see Konagirl’s comment above)
Nb, I have got away with asking questions and expressing doubts before now but I have been careful how I said it and not gone around the congregation saying it. I guess they see me as harmless.
Thanks Boogerman. I used your quotation in an online debate with a Witness.
K-Girl That exactly what I was after. Thanks.
Blues Brother, I agree "Nb, I have got away with asking questions and expressing doubts before now but I have been careful how I said it and not gone around the congregation saying it. I guess they see me as harmless." I always phrased it so I was a person looking for an answer for someone I was studying with, "what do I say to them?"
Great answer and commenting:
No, they don't threaten - they do it. ALWAYS!!!!!! It's the unforgivable sin in JW eyes.
w06 7/15 p. 22 par. 14 - "Such conversations murmuring is often caused by Bible knowledge a lack of understanding of God’s way of doing things. The Creator progressively reveals the truth to his people. Hence, our perversion understanding of the Scriptures is bound to be reversed refined from time to time. The vast majority of the blinded Jehovah’s people agonise rejoice over such refinements. A few become like the Beroeans “righteous overmuch” and question resent the changes. Logic pride may play a role, and some fall into the trap of seeing the falsehood independent thinking."
