I thought Knorr was involved in sponsoring The Nazi Parties research into bloodless surgery?
Blood Transfusions

Damn, it seems the farther away from the 20th Century we get, the more batshit crazy ol' Freddy Franz looks.
All of the WTS's theological reasons for "abstaining" from blood are moot, though, IMO.
According to OrphanCrow's research (and research is a good thing, people), the blood prohibition actually has its origins in an unspoken fear that one might be transfused with the blood of another nationality (i.e. racism), and a less-than-six-degrees-of-Kevin-Bacon connection to the "bloodless medicine" industry.

The very first direct condemnation of transfusion medicine in JW literature appeared in the December 1, 1944 issue of The Watchtower, page 362:
A similar quote appears in the July 1, 1945 issue of The Watchtower on page 200. (This is often claimed to be the first direct mention of transfusion, but it is actually the second.)The September 22, 1949 issue of Awake! featured an entire article on the subject, but the reasoning was almost entiirely circular. Blood transfusion is unscriptural....because it is unscriptural. Oh, and it was practised by the ancient Egyptians; the enemies of God's people.....
The December 1, 1949 issue of The Watchtower also spoke against transfusion. This time they actually stated a quasi-scientific justification for the link.
Transfusion is claimed to be simply a more direct route to the blood stream than eating. Not surprisingly, these 1949 Watchtower and Awake! articles precipitated a flood of letters from within the Witness community and it became necessary to address the major points of dissent. The link between the eating of blood and the transfusion of blood was finally stated openly in the July 1, 1951 issue of The Watchtower on page 415:
And there you have it. Transfusion is held to be exactly the same thing as intravenous feeding. The original 1953 edtion of the book Make Sure Of All Things included this view as an official answer for believing Jehovah's Witnesses to give to outsiders:

And Jehovah`s Witnesses ,young and old DIE for refusing blood transfusions all over the world.
Thousands by all accounts since the ban was introduced only since the 1940`s
Yet ,Jehovah`s witnesses ,young and old LIVE for accepting blood fractions that are a part of the blood that has been donated by a donor from a worldly person and is not a J.W. ....How ironic is that ?
Blood fractions are a result from donated blood from donors to a blood bank that is stored and processed in a laboratory and separated into various fractions and then stored back in the blood bank for use when required.
Jehovah`s witness / Governing Body belief is that blood should be poured out on the ground and not used in any way or form for anything else ,not even to be used as fertilizer in the garden.
If you persist in using in using blood and bone in your garden you can be disfellowshipped.
If you agree to accept blood fractions in a medical procedure , No problems
If you agree to a blood transfusion you will be disfellowshipped .

" It is eating another person's blood to replenish a depleted blood stream "
As far as I know you dont transfuse blood from one to another orally though and to the stomach.
What the fuck ?
He took the original Hebraic dietary law which was set to preserve the supposed sanctity of blood which the ancient Hebrews assumed as well other ancient civilizations and twisted it in support of his own created law in very intellectual dishonest way.
No doubt one of the corrupt and twisted pieces of logic and intellectual dishonesty perpetrated by F Franz.
One of the most lying and devious head writers for the WTS. as a self assumed spiritual leader which lend him to believe his own theological ideas..

WT have changed the details of the No Blood teaching and have changed their definition of Blood.
Their inconsistencies have caused and will continue to cause people to needlessly die.
WT proudly claim their practise of human sacrifice is pleasing to their God.

How many thousands (10's of thousands? 100's of thousands?) of JWs have died over the past 70 years because one particular eccentric little man couldn't grasp the idea that a blood transfusion is not equivalent to eating blood?

The idea was a layman's misconception about blood. Consider for example H.G. Wells description of how a highly evolved race might sustain themselves in his novel War of the Worlds:
"Entrails they had none. They did not eat, much less digest. Instead, they took the fresh, living blood of other creatures and injected it into their veins…..The physiological advantages of the practice of injection are undeniable, if one thinks of the tremendous waste of human time and energy occasioned by eating and the digestive process. Our bodies are half made up of glands and tubes and organs, occupied in turning heterogeneous food into blood."
Wells can be forgiven for his ignorance because: A: He was writing fiction and B: He was writing fiction in the year 1898.
Freddy & Co should certainly have known better by the late 40's & early 50's.

F Franz was a delusional idiot who made up many false doctrines mostly to due to his assumed personal identity as being chosen by god Jehovah as humanity's sole channeled interpreter of the bible.
The damaging effects to this expressive delusion can be realized in the thousands of JWS who mistakenly regrettably forfeited their life refusing a blood transfusion.
Is this really what Jehovah wants to see, people giving up their life as a expression of loyalty to him ?
God eventually stopped Abraham from killing his son Isaac remember
