  NVR2L8, you probably should have mentioned to the surgical staff that you had relatives who could access your schedule and that you didn't want any confidential information on the surgery to be accessible by them. Perhaps your file should be flagged to make sure it can't be accessed without setting off some sort of alert.

  We know from the September Watchtower, 1987 and other articles that the WT encourages loyal JWs to treat HIPAA and similar laws as mere suggestions and as not binding to a God-trained conscience.

  When I faded, I changed all my medical directives to keep it in my non Jw family contact and if anyone from the the Jw's come around, they are not on the Directive, they have no legal right to anything. They can't even talk to the Doctor.

  All it takes is some elders or people in serve-us visiting infirm people in the hospital and they see you there also.

  They can gossip and in comes the liason committee.

  Privacy is an extremely rare commodity in dub land
