Glad you're ok. It could also have been the ileocecal valve. It's a valve between the small and large intestines, and is in that area. If it is that, more fibre in the diet might help.
Also, if the hips are slightly out of joint, it could impinge on the energy flow through the nerves coming from the spinal cord. Problems can result. A chiropractor other doctor that works w the skeleton might be able to advise on this. Also physiotherapists might be able to detect this.

From what i read, the appendix makes some kind of antbiotic that catches stuff just as it's passing from the small to the large intestine.
Funny, Valis. Ten thousand good comedians out of work and you're making jokes.
Yeah Frank, I'm a little skeptical too. Stuff like that doesn't just go away. I'll have a talk with the dr soon though.
You know, Saint Satan mentioned something that made me think. In my line of work I spend all day on my feet. Sometimes I have to work bent over under a hood, sometimes crouched down under the alignment rack in unusual positions. I'm going to mention that to my dr.
One good thing though. When I saw the dr last month about the pain, my blood pressure check suprised the nurse. She did the check and then her eyes got big and she looked at me like she couldn't believe it. 120 over 60. So at least the old cardio system checked out.
Mike.
p.s. Rayzorblade, beer is never contraindicated for me. Never.
