The disgusting letter says survivors need more than material comfort - they need to Bible's message of hope.
What a deliberate distortion of what rescuers do! When people have lost everything and face unending hardship,what the f is the use of preaching?! They need oractical help by organizations such as Doctors Without Borders and Red Cross.

"Donate to the worldwide work $$$$$ where we will decide if any moneys goes to JW victims of disasters and how much is given depending on how spiritual they are and how many hours they put in each month in field service of course .
Other Brothers and sisters in dire straits "especially need the comfort that only Gods word the Bible can provide " because they obviously are not meeting the requirements of being spiritually strong enough failing in meeting attendance and not meeting the required hours of field service.
Whats that scripture that says something like when you see someone in need you just say go in peace without lifting a finger to help them ?

When in the Borg and listening to these letters I would always say to myself we can trust the Borg to do the right thing with our money. Now when I read this letter i can see all the escape clauses they are using by their wording. Unfortunately most of the cult victims will not see it and just say to themselves as they write their checks we can trust the Borg. Jeez, this annoys me.
The quote, " It is recommended that all donations.....be made for the worldwide work. "
And this, " Jehovah's Witnesses do NOT maintain a separate fund that is restricted to only assisting one disaster....... " Translation : " WE the WT Society leaders will determine where your donations will go and HOW that money is used and distributed for the " worldwide work . Oh and - did we tell you that SOME of your donations might be going to pay out child abuse lawsuits instead of hurricane victims ? Sorry if we failed to mention that. And this little jewel of a quote, " Indeed, victims of natural disasters need more than material relief. " Bullshit. THAT is the main thing victims of natural disasters need ! MATERIAL RELIEF !

Try telling that to some hurricane victims that are drowning or swimming inside their houses with water moccasins slithering inside their 'used to be ' kitchen cabinets ! This just infuriates me the callousness of the leaders of the WT Society. It's like the GB members brains are all filled up with crazy glue stuck in neutral forever. Problem is: WT leaders know EXACTLY what they're doing ! Suck money away from the poor for their own purposes using a disaster as a cover for their extortion practices. My understanding is if they establish a relief fund, the money has to be spend for that purpose without discrimination; they will have to include the dreaded "worldly people" in the effort. If they do it just for general funds, then they can do whatever they want with the $$$$.
In the meantime they are mobilizing the elders to assist brothers in need or danger, they are not qualified to this and it will be better to leave to the proper relief agencies. The outside dangers in this type of situation are enormous.
Like so many others, this is a dark hour in the WT history.

But Flipper....they can simply turn to the book of Job and be encouraged by reading about all the trials Job endured and how Jehovah lovingly solved all his problems in the end. For instance he replaced all of Job's 10 children who died when the family house collapsed on them. Job's already aged wife, had the privilege of spending at least the next 10-15 years of her life, pregnant so Jehovah could fix the tragedy by giving them10 new children....what a logical solution and what blessing it was for all concerned.
P.S I understand that the new "Silver Sword" edition of the New World Translation, also serves as a flotation device.

The GB and the rest of the WT leadership are nothing more than heartless and immoral opportunists seeking to greedily benefit from the tragic losses suffered by others. Letters like this right from the source are clear proof of that.
It's important that we continue to expose them for who and what they are!
