I would LOVE to hear that some elders who are still the trustees of their valuable kingdom hall, told to move and put It up for sale...sell It fast behind the CO's back and make off to some sunny, tax free clime with no extradition laws :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

It shows that even with all the cuts they have been making that if they have to do what fredo was talking about then the watchtower must be short of money

Members of local congregations make donations or gifts to their local congregation which is convened by the charitable organisation, the hall is generally owned by a trust who allow use of the hall at no cost.
So, again, why would a volunteer for a charity who makes a donation to a charity think they have part ownership of a building?

Because the local congregations have always paid for their own buildings. Whether they had the cash or got a loan from the society that they paid off themselves. Plus any remodeling along the way. What kind of question is that anyway?! Everyone knows that

LOL - looks like Kilbirnie KH will be displaying a "For Sale" sign very soon.

Apparently Irvine KH (where the Kilbirnie JW's have been attending for the past 10 months) now has a permanent and reasonably expensive looking new sign erected. The sign shows the meeting times for both congregations - Sunday 10.00 am & Thursday 7.00 pm. and Sunday 2.00 pm & Wednesday 7.00 pm.

The Branch said several months ago that Kilbirnie KH was "scheduled for refurbishment." Lying shysters!
