I don't know what's worse:
Quoting chapter and verse (especially Leviticus and the Apostle Paul) that leaves no doubt about judgements and "abominations", including that classic verse about 'men and women leaving the natural desire for one another...."
Or
Smoothly sugar-coating one's answers so that serious considerations are skirted (e.g., the literature on 'being born that way') and one comes across as nice and respectful.
How would Emily have replied if she had been talking directly to her lesbian classmates? Funny that the demonstrations on this topic are always about JWs talking to others about homosexuality.
At least they spared listeners the hard-to-believe discourse on non-practising gay and lesbian brothers and sisters who are "happily" serving Jehovah as single individuals. Hard to believe there are any still remaining in the organization after a lifetime of this sort of "sweetly" argued invalidation.
