Move to Washington State; it's got the lowest church attendance of mainland USA (don't know about Alaska come to think of it). I really felt the difference in peoples' attitudes compared to Kansas (argh!!! no, don't make me go back to Kansas!!).
Or try Europe; in most European countries religion is far less central to peoples everyday lives... most Europeans think man evolved as per the standard model, whereas one survey I read recently said that 48% of Americans believe in a literal Biblical creation (and thus will believe most any damn thing).

I think you should not bother trying to find a place that you think would offer you contentment because of local beliefs that match yours. It probably won't make a big difference.
People of all beliefs do things that piss us off and annoy us. It will happen where ever you go. Learn to deal with those your stuck with.

I would haved imagined England with its continuing Druid practices. I would also guess equatorial Africa and as a corollary, Hatai. Lots and lots of Voodoo going on there - which is essentially a strange admixture of Catholicism and native religion. Australia is also a good place for your kind of spirituality as the Abos have a powerful practice of spirituality.
Seems like a little Internet research wold answer your question.

It's all pretty much the same, hon. My girlfriend is a solitary wiccan because of bad experiences with the leaders of covens: egomania and controlling behavior. Look beyond that to the beliefs, and you have the same illusions in different settings. Just a different flavoring with the cod liver oil, that's all.

Just found this:
United States figures show that church membership is growing in line with the growth in Christian population. In 1990, 47% of the US Population, and 67% of the Christian population were church members. For 1995, these proportions were 46% and 67% respectively, and projections for the year 2000 are 46% and 66%. We don't have access to US figures on church attendance.
It appears that only 5% of the population in the UK are church attendees.
Come to Merry England!

Francois;
England with its continuing Druid practices
There is no unbroken tradition of Druidism, it's just a load of fantastical nonsence dreamt up by bored Victorians.
