Cofty: I love watching reactions to a big friendly 'hello', especially when they respond before they realise who you are.

Living well is truly the best revenge!

WTWizard, I have never seen nor heard of a JW concerned about relaying false information or even making it up to suit themselves. Further, I have never heard of a JW reproved either privately or publicly, disfellowshiped, or even privately counseled for slander. It just doesn't happen because the WTBTS doesn't care about individuals who are slandered.

I'm wondering why you didn't mention anything about unprotected sex, it seems like that is pretty much "anyone else's business if you choose".

Was TM3 in front of you in line? And what was SHE doing in the liquor store?

Maybe she was buying condoms and lubrication?

I had the exact same thought as JP1692.

If she has time to hang around a store scowling at people, well, that says a lot about her life.

    PALE.EMPEROR:

Over the last two decades I had a few instances in stores with JWs either pretending not to see me, staring or even making a face. All this amuses me and I always have a pleasant expression on my face as I go about my shopping.

One time I was in a deli waiting for my turn. I became aware of a woman looking at me. I didn’t recognize her at first and smiled a polite smile. I then gave my order to the man behind the counter and was waiting for my items. All of a sudden I realized the woman staring was from the first congregation I attended. I casually looked in her direction again and saw her still looking. I’m sure she recognized me but neither of us said anything.

If we were dealing with normal people there might have been some cordial small talk: “hey I remember you from etc..”. But, we’re dealing with Witnesses here..These people are thinking: “she’s the one who doesn’t go to meetings anymore..so I shouldn’t greet her”...Well, it’s no loss to me!

Hairy - we’re dealing with Witnesses here..These people are thinking

I took this out of context I know, but it made be smirk. A JW thinking? Perish the thought.

I have been surprised by the Jobos that still speak to me. One said he didn't believe in all that DF/DA stuff and it wasn't Christian....but he still believed in Jehovah(tm) and the org. Maybe he's on the verge of waking up.

The worst I get is where they look at the ground or pretend to be looking at something else.

They don't need to scowl, the lies and rumours they circulated about me are enough.

Which is probably why she scowled.

Ah yes, the "take out your phone and pretend to text" routine. I love making them feel awkward. I make them notice me and make them go out of their way to ignore me. If they think I'm going to "humble myself" and obey JW rules they can F off.

Its gotta be so fun to have an IQ just limited enough that you believe a tiny religious group is actually right when it tells you that you are one of the "chosen" and therefore have the right to judge all the losers around you. So fun! "The 'real' (TM) life!"

Me? I'm just rattling around on planet earth living in the real world accepting people as they come, happy in the knowledge that wonderful things happen in life and the next one could be just around the corner.

    Oh how I suffer!
