Those who have been aware and informed have seen this coming.
Of course it's just the beginning. 80 reports seems to be only the tip of the iceberg. Reclaimed Voices is expecting hundreds of cases more. No video yet from the broadcast itself, just this coverage:

At the reporting center for sexual abuse within the Jehovah's Witnesses, eighty reports were received in the first month. Fifty of them came directly to the hotline, the thirty others came through the newspaper Trouw, which recently wrote about the abuse.
Many reports come from people who are no longer members of the organization, says Raymond Hintjes of the Reclaimed Voices foundation, which opened the hotline. The foundation counts on more reports. "We have already received many reports, but since more than 30,000 people are members of the Jehovah's Witnesses in the Netherlands, we think this is the tip of the iceberg, and we suspect that there are hundreds of cases."
Victims often do not dare to come out with their story, says Hintjes. "There is still a taboo on talking about sexual abuse, in addition to which the Jehovah's Witnesses are a very closed community that resolves these issues through an internal procedure, after which they often do not mention it anymore. Well, then it is the victim's word against the perpetrator's word. "
Toilet roll
One of the founders of the foundation, Frank Huiting, made an anonymous story last summer about the abuse. He said that between the ages of five and seventh he was being abused by an older boy who came to visit his parents for a Bible circle. "When this guy came to read Hunting upstairs, he took a toilet roll", writes the newspaper.
Jehovah's Witnesses has not yet responded to the opening of the hotline. "After the founding, Jehovah's Witnesses said they were willing to enter into a dialogue with us, and we sent a letter to the board of the organization, saying that they are considering how they will respond to the matter."
