  Like any other big business it's taken a life of it's own, the ones on top are somewhat replaceable.

  Every JW must know local elders in their congregation or circuit who are better public speakers, more articulate, intelligent and personable than that bunch who have the top jobs.

  Not sure if any of you ever met or heard James Penton........I did many years ago.

  my impression was of someone very intelligent and capable(he was a university professor), the extreme opposite of Lett.

  They should have listened to him all those years ago, but of course instead they disfellowshipped him.

  I look forward to the day in the not to distant future, when G.B members can only give talks to empty stadiums at conventions and say :-

  " What a wonderful audience- if my memory serves me correct"
