This not-"new-light" seems to be just another attempt to prolong the timeline of events supposed to happen before the end. The scripture (Revelation 17:17) has always stated that God would put it into their hearts to carry out his thought...their one thought by giving their power to the wild beast.." The talk at the annual meeting harped on the idea that, formerly, their one thought was to destroy false religion, now they, in accord with the verse, emphasize that the "thought" is to turn their power over to the UN, so that It can carry out the destruction. As usual, no detail is given as to how it will be carried out, although in recent years they had said it would likely not mean the death of all religious people..Possibly just a dissolving or de-powering of churches etc. It's all kept vague, because they don't know, and the purposely keeping it uncertain makes it more 'urgent' and scary.

raymond frantz....What is "the Arrival of the fallen ones"?

In the twelfth chapter of Revelation, John describes a cosmic conflict in which Satan and his angels are cast out of heaven and hurled down to earth. The timing of this event aligns with the midpoint of the tribulation, a period of unprecedented turmoil and divine judgment. When Satan arrives on earth, it is not in secret. Revelation warns, “Woe to the inhabitants of the earth,” for the devil has come down in great wrath, knowing that his time is short.
Now imagine the impact of such a moment on a world already teetering on the edge of spiritual confusion. If Satan and his fallen host descend in visible, undeniable glory, performing miracles, proclaiming wisdom, and presenting themselves as ancient creators or advanced beings from beyond, the global reaction would be seismic. Religions would be forced to confront what appears to be undeniable supernatural proof. Traditional doctrines would crumble under the weight of this new “reality.” Holy books would be reinterpreted, prophecies reexamined, and spiritual leaders would be pressured—or eager—to adapt. What would emerge from this upheaval is not atheism, but a new faith, one that unites humanity under a common spiritual banner.
This is where Babylon the Great rises.

It cracks me up when they go on about " organised religions " the JWs are one of the most organised religions l can think of . They may not have paid clergy but they organise every aspect of their member's lives .

So, maybe Babylon the Great *isn’t* the one falling after all. Maybe it’s the Watchtower.
I don't think so. In Scotland churches like the methodists, episcopalians, unitarians, and free church are nearing extinction whereas JWs are as numerous as they've ever been. On a global scale.the Mormon church is struggling whereas JWs are still growing. JWs grow faster than the population so if they keep that current trend they'd obviously keep gaining ground year on year. Which I doubt they will, incidentally. They are.boumd to start declining at some point but I don't see the point in pretending they are somehow in trouble now when that's not true.

I was under the impression that the WTS taught that the war in heaven happened in 1914, with the banishment of Satan being directly responsible for World War I. Do they still teach that?
