On Friday, attorney Irwin Zalkin held a news conference in Manhattan announcing that two alleged victims, Heather Steele and Michael Ewing, will file lawsuits in state Supreme Court in Brooklyn on Wednesday. The lawsuits will name as defendants eight members of the Governing Body of the Jehovah’s Witnesses (JWs).
Now located in Tuxedo Park, N.Y., the JWs World Headquarters occupied a building with a large Watchtower sign in Brooklyn.
“Litigation by the Zalkin Law Firm has exposed a database maintained by the JW containing information about known child molesters within the organization that dates back decades,” according to a news release from the law firm. “The JWs have defied numerous court orders compelling them to produce this database in several of the lawsuits.”

Thanks Barbara. This is the first time, as far as I know, that the GB have been personally named as defendants rather than just one off the legal Watchtower organisations.

The newer members of the GB such as Cook and Sanderson might argue it was nothing to do with them, but long-standing members such as Loesch, Herd, Splane, and Lett would have a more difficult time ducking responsibility.

Thanks for supplying this information ! The WT Society's refusal to release the database list of pedophiles will come back to haunt them. It's already haunting them financially with millions $$$ in penalties, but hopefully it will haunt them with another loss in court on behalf of these victims and at the same time put the hurt on the WT Society so badly reputation wise publicly that the GB won't be able to hide behind their fake " cloak of respectability " anymore.
