Friends has always been slated by the JW's.
I remember a while ago I was watching it when my mum and dad got home from the KH and and told me to turn it off. Yeah, living in their house but at 22 I think it's a bit much. First I laughed, then I got pissed off cos their WTS brainwashed minds are do rediculas to me.
They were SO over the top.
It must be an American thing. "Friends" and "Seinfeld" was ok here in Oz.

My wife and her Mum watches Friends, they are both witnesses. The cong is not as strick I guess.

Our cong. was well known for what it was. JW's always went out not came in.
I wreckon a lot could guess where I'm from but I won't admit it.
I had a witness friend recently e-mail me a modified version of this list. Of course the historical stuff was not in there.
I imagine there are many versions of it, but funny just the same.
I did talk about though, "new light." You would think he would catch on.
I thought the "friends" and "seinfield" thing was because the shows ran on Thursdays (meeting nights)
My father and sister enjoyed watching Seinfield and my mother did when she "got" it. I don't think they have ever really seen Friends unless ins the reruns in the afternoon that Im watching which doesn't seem to really bother them. Then again my mother has sat and watched Will and Grace with me which I was shocked about.
(Of coarse my father was always more leniate with TV shows because he liked to watch them too....it was only extreme sexual or spiritistic things that got switched off but violence was usually fine even when I was little)
BTW-----I loved the list...made me laugh and I think I might just pass a copy out to my friends etc.
yeah, what spice said. i never got to watch friends or seinfeld because they were on thursday during meeting. yay for re-runs!
