One thing that bothers me greatly is the fact that they can change their policies and beliefs and just say its "new light" and no one bats an eyelid.
There are many scriptures such as Isaiah 40:8 "the word of god will last to time indefinite." or Hebrews 6:18 "it is impossible for God to lie". If he is "spirit directing" the borg then there should be no need for new light.
I know its hard to accept but it can summed up in one phrase:
Its a cult.
they can do or say whatever they want and get away with it in the eyes of their membership because the membership believes they need the org to stay in touch with god.
How do they get away with disfellowshipping members for pointing out the flaw in the old "new light" and then, when that has been rescinded, not giving credit for the warning and automatically re-instating the whistleblower (latter day Joseph really) with honors?
This is going to come back and bite them, as it did the starving, humiliated 10 other brothers. . - if there was truth a talking snake story.
It is like how some of the writers made the distinction of what is clean diet and what is unclean. Some of the clean diet described in Leviticus are now proved unhealthy and some of the unclean ones are now found to be healthy.
How do they get away with " new Light " ? It's called mind control. Individual JW's brains have been shrunk into pickled and shriveled WT Society indoctrination storehouses. They are trained never to question WT Society doctrine. WT is always right- in their mind. If they even begin to have doubts about WT being right- they are told that Satan is causing them to doubt or they are evil for doubting. Think " Stockholm Syndrome " and you'll understand why JW's don't question " new light "

The problem with new light is not that there is new fields of knowledge that are illuminated. new facts discovered, but that wt claims their current knowledge is of divine origin, biblical (inspired) and holy, (spirit directed).
The Bible teach book to which content have to ascribe to or baptism, teaches that the wt teacher has the last laugh at the blackboard, teacher gives the marks. truth or not.
They cannot point to one Scripture that backs up the concept of Noo Lite, not if you read it in context, and see what it actually says.
Truth does not change.
